Trump Slams Stephen Colbert, Calls for CBS to Fire Him

Donald Trump recently criticized Stephen Colbert, calling him "very boring" and suggesting that CBS should fire the late-night talk show host. This outburst came after Trump watched an interview where Colbert labeled him as a dull guest, saying he would not invite Trump back to his show.

On September 24, Trump expressed his thoughts on Truth Social, describing Colbert as unfunny, overpaid, and overrated. He questioned why public funds were spent on what he termed a "complete and total loser," pointing out that Colbert's show is suffering from low viewership. Trump compared Colbert’s declining ratings to those of Greg Gutfeld on Fox News, claiming Gutfeld’s show is outperforming Colbert's.

Trump went further, urging CBS to terminate Colbert’s contract and suggesting they could find a replacement who would do a better job for much less money. He claimed he could recommend someone smarter and more talented, or even someone willing to work for free.

The former president also took shots at other late-night hosts, including Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers, and Jimmy Kimmel, calling them "two DOPES." Colbert’s earlier comments during the PBS interview contributed to Trump's ire, as Colbert stated he wouldn't invite Trump back due to his perceived dishonesty and lack of excitement.
