T.I. and Tiny Win $71 Million in Lawsuit Against MGA Entertainment

T.I. and Tiny have won their lawsuit against toy company MGA Entertainment, resulting in a staggering $71 million award. A jury determined that MGA violated the intellectual property rights of their teen pop group, the OMG Girlz. The trial concluded with jurors agreeing that MGA's "L.O.L. Surprise! O.M.G. dolls" infringed on the trade dress and misappropriated the name, image, and likeness of the group formed by T.I. and Tiny in 2009.

The couple focused on seven dolls that they argued closely resembled the OMG Girlz during specific public events, including similarities to Tiny's oldest daughter, Zonnique Pullins. After the verdict, Tiny celebrated outside the federal courthouse in Santa Ana, California, expressing that they fought for their city and culture. She expressed gratitude to the jurors, who awarded them $17.9 million in compensatory damages and $53.6 million in punitive damages.
