Patrick J. Adams Reflects on Suits Impact and Hints at Possible Movie

Patrick J. Adams recently reflected on his transformative experience filming the pilot episode of Suits, the legal drama that significantly impacted his career and life. Adams portrayed Mike Ross, a talented college dropout with a photographic memory who unexpectedly becomes a lawyer despite never attending law school.

He starred in the series from its debut in 2011 until season 7 in 2018, when he and Meghan Markle, who played Rachel Zane, left the show. Adams made a guest appearance in the ninth and final season, which premiered in 2019.

In a recent episode of Sidebar: A Suits Watch Podcast, co-hosted with former co-star Sarah Rafferty, Adams shared a pivotal moment that influenced his character and his life. He recalled a scene from the pilot that he feels marked a turning point for him. “It’s weird to have a moment on camera where you could see your life change,” he said, emphasizing how the show altered his career and personal life.

The scene he referred to involves Mike Ross being offered an associate position at the Pearson Hardman law firm by Harvey Specter, played by Gabriel Macht. Mike impresses Harvey with his photographic memory after crashing an interview, despite the firm typically hiring only Harvard Law graduates. Adams described this moment as "pretty wild," noting its significance in his journey.

In June, Adams reunited with Suits co-stars Sarah Rafferty, Dulé Hill, Abigail Spencer, and Amanda Schull at the ATX TV Festival in Austin, Texas, marking five years since the show's finale. During the event, an audience member inquired about the possibility of a Suits movie. Adams, while acknowledging he has no authority on the matter, responded affirmatively, mentioning the development of a Suits: L.A. show by creator Aaron Korsh and expressing optimism that a film could happen.
