LuPone also revealed that when she agreed to join the cast of Agatha All Along, she was not familiar with the project’s details. She humorously noted that she couldn’t let anyone on set know her lack of Marvel knowledge for fear of “getting beat up by Marvel security.”
When asked if she might watch the Avengers films now, LuPone expressed skepticism, stating, "I don't think so." However, she added, "Maybe I should say I want to because I want to be in the Marvel Universe." Despite her unfamiliarity with the superhero genre, LuPone is confident about her ability to play a witch or villain in MCU films but is unsure which superhero she would want to battle. She joked that she would choose to fight Ryan Reynolds, despite not knowing much about his character, Deadpool. "I would fight Ryan Reynolds. I have no idea what Deadpool is, but I would just fight Ryan Reynolds," she said.
Ryan Reynolds, who recently reprised his role as Deadpool alongside Hugh Jackman in Deadpool & Wolverine, has been part of a movie that has set several box office records. LuPone, a celebrated Broadway star known for her roles in American Horror Story, Company, and Beau is Afraid, will appear in Agatha All Along, which premieres on September 18 on Disney+.
