Rothwell shared that acting with people she idolized growing up, such as Parker Posey, Michelle Monaghan, and Carrie Coon, made her question if she truly belonged on set. She admitted to struggling with self-doubt despite the excitement of returning to the series. She also spoke about the unique bond formed on the White Lotus set, calling the connections between the cast “legit” and praising series creator Mike White for fostering such camaraderie.
Though initially nervous about reprising her role, Rothwell soon eased back into Belinda’s character, drawing inspiration from advice given by Carrie Coon. While the transition took some effort, Rothwell quickly found her rhythm again. However, working with an all-star cast continued to be both exciting and intimidating for the 43-year-old actress.
Rothwell also spoke about a recent interaction with Monaghan, who had moderated a panel for her new Hulu series How to Die Alone. To her surprise, Monaghan agreed to her request immediately, further cementing the strong connections between the cast.
Rothwell remains close with many of her co-stars from both projects. She mentioned staying in touch with them through group texts, describing them as "obnoxious" but highlighting the lasting friendships they’ve built. She specifically noted actress Leslie Bibb, who helped promote How to Die Alone by creating videos for Rothwell and enthusiastically supporting her.
