Jesse James Faces Lawsuit After Dog Attack on Former Employee

Sandra Bullock’s ex-husband, Jesse James, is facing a lawsuit from a former employee, Karen Sanchez-Roberts, who claims she was attacked by his dogs while trying to separate them. According to court documents, Karen was employed by Jesse, 55, at West Coast Choppers and Outlaw Garage in Austin, Texas, to assist with personal tasks, including caring for his dogs.

The lawsuit, which seeks damages between $250,000 and $1 million, alleges that Jesse failed to provide proper instructions for handling the dogs during conflicts. On April 11, 2023, two of Jesse’s dogs began fighting, and while attempting to intervene, Karen was bitten on her right hand without provocation. She reported severe injuries that required a visit to a clinic, where she was diagnosed with a fracture and received stitches.

Karen claims Jesse was aware that his dogs had a history of aggression and violent fights, stating that he had known since at least 2016 about their propensity for attacks. The suit also alleges that Jesse instructed her to kick the dogs during fights but did not take sufficient action to prevent the incident.

Furthermore, Karen stated that Jesse and his company failed to provide workers’ compensation insurance. She is seeking damages for medical expenses, physical pain, mental anguish, and permanent disfigurement.

Jesse has denied all allegations, insisting that Karen must prove her claims. West Coast Choppers has requested to be dismissed from the case, stating it did not own the dog involved. The legal proceedings are ongoing.

Jesse was previously married to Sandra Bullock from 2005 to 2010, a relationship marred by infidelity, which he later admitted to. In 2010, a controversial photo of him making a Nazi salute surfaced, shocking Sandra. Jesse later described the incident as a misguided joke, stating he does not hold racist views.
