Foster states he has worked with Chris Brown several times over the years and had played him the track while Brown was creating his "Breezy" album. He alleges the song was later used without his permission when Brown, Durk, and Capella Grey recorded their version, which came out three years after Foster’s original release.
Foster is seeking royalties, claiming he hasn’t received any payment for the alleged similarities between the songs. He has taken Brown, Durk, and Grey to court in an effort to secure his share of the profits. At this point, neither Brown’s nor Durk’s representatives have responded to the allegations.
