Although he’s worked on a film with Streep, he emphasized that they haven’t shared a scene together. He also mentioned Daniel Day-Lewis, Robert Duvall, and Gene Hackman as inspirations in his career.
Reflecting on his past experiences, Garfield highlighted his work with esteemed actors such as Philip Seymour Hoffman, Robert Redford, and Vincent D’Onofrio, calling them “custodians of that deep dive of acting.” He also expressed admiration for artists from his generation and younger, including Colman Domingo, whom he praised for his performance in Sing Sing, and Zendaya, with whom he starred in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Garfield described Zendaya as “wonderful” and expressed a desire to collaborate with her again.
