Proceeds from the event will support the Harris Victory Fund, benefiting Harris’ campaign, the Democratic National Committee, and state parties. Ticket prices range from $500 per person to $926,300 for those wishing to be listed as event chairs, which includes four tickets, a reception with Harris, a luncheon, and a photo opportunity.
This Los Angeles event follows Harris’ previous fundraiser in June, which took place just days after the first presidential debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump. Since entering the presidential race on July 21, Harris has raised impressive amounts, including $361 million in August, with $404 million in cash on hand. The fundraiser is timed just before the end of the latest quarter, when campaigns must disclose their financial totals and donor lists.
Harris has been actively campaigning in swing states, balancing her schedule with fundraising events. Last weekend in Manhattan, she was joined by celebrities like Anne Hathaway, Whoopi Goldberg, and Billy Porter, helping to raise $27 million. Earlier on the same day as the Los Angeles event, Harris attended a fundraiser in San Francisco with former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, where singer Andra Day performed her hit “Rise Up.”
